1. Membership is open to any truck driver, truck owner, truck company owner/s, other trucking industry personnel and spouse/family members.
2. All members will appoint the Secretary of the Association in office at any particular time as their proxy to receive notice of and attend all meetings of the members and vote on their behalf and to otherwise act for them in the same manner and with the same effect as if they were personally present. This proxy shall be valid until revoked at any time prior to voting at any meeting by executing and delivering a written notice of revocation to the Secretary of the Association, by executing and delivering a subsequently dated proxy to the Secretary of the Association or by voting in person/email.
3. The Directors of the Association shall have the power to refuse membership to an applicant, where it is considered such membership would be detrimental to the aims, purposes or activities of the group.
4. Registration and termination of membership.
Membership is effective for a period of one year, covered by a membership fee payment, which is fully earned upon acceptance. Such payment of the annual renewal fee can be set up to be automatically charged to a credit card or other authorized billing source. Membership renewal fees will automatically be billed to the credit card or other billing source authorized by the member at the then current rate, until such time that UTA has been notified of the member's desire to cancel a membership. Members may cancel their membership and terminate further billing by e-mailing info@utatruckers.com or writing to: United Truckers Association, Inc. 9090 FM1026, Gouldbusk, TX 76845.
1. UTA members have access to discounts and other benefits on specified products and services offered by third party product and/or service providers who are independent from the UTA. Members or users acknowledge that UTA, sponsor/s or promoter (s) have no liability to the member or user of the product/s or service/s, or responsibility for any errors and omissions in any materials supplied to members or users or for any failure by any product or service provider to honor the applicable discount. However, if a member or user encounters a problem with any discount, product or service, UTA will try to assist that member or user in resolving the problem. Cancellation of membership is understood to be a member or user's sole recourse. UTA reserves the right to change, alter or amend Benefits at any time without notice.
2. If a Member attempts to use a member benefits that requires authentication, and the Member's name does not appear on the UTA Active Members' List, the requested services will not be provided at the expense of UTA. If the requested services are provided by the Service Provider recommended by UTA, member may submit the invoices and if an error was made, the member will be reimbursed for the amount that would have been paid by the UTA program, if UTA is able to secure the funds from the supplier. Rebates are paid by UTA after UTA receives rebates from Service Providers and/or vendor partners. UTA does not guarantee or underwrite the rebates or discounts that are not paid in accordance with the agreements and terms for rebates and or discounts offered by a vendor partner to UTA members and/or Affiliates. Any dispute is the responsibility of the Vendor Partner and UTA's only responsibility or recourse would be to remove the vendor partner from UTA's list of recommended providers.
